Pivoting with Purpose
From a 64-hour hospice weekend to building the future of healthcare.
After an incredibly busy 64-hour on-call hospice weekend, I had just enough time to jump in the shower and build myself a little work nest in my bed...where I fully intend to spend the rest of the day.
Not because I’m resting, but because Monday is my pivot day.
People assume that when my hospice shift ends on Monday morning, I’m finally done working. Not even close. I trade one job for another.
Today is all about Remnant Healthcare—answering emails, working through workflow, scheduling interviews, writing blogs, planning shows, recording podcasts, meeting with practitioners, and trying to chip away at the mountain that piled up while I was taking care of hospice patients all weekend.
The work never really ends, but it’s work I believe in. 🙏❤️
People ask me all the time how I do it. Truthfully? Some days I wonder the same thing.
The reality is, I don’t have the luxury of sitting around waiting for someone else to build the kind of healthcare system I believe should exist. If we’re going to fundamentally change healthcare, we have to be willing to do the work.
So here we are.
Me, under a blanket computer in my lap, coffee within reach, and I’m about 90% sure DoorDash will be delivering dinner directly to my bed at some point today. 😬
Welcome to the glamorous life of a Nurse entrepreneur. 🩺💙
But this is exactly what building something from the ground up looks like.
Remnant Healthcare isn’t backed by a billion-dollar corporation. We don’t have venture capitalists writing checks.
We have nurses. We have practitioners. We have patients who believe healthcare can be better. And we have members who believe enough in what we’re building to invest thirty dollars a month to help make it happen.
That thirty dollars isn’t just buying access to concierge nursing, advocacy, functional wellness resources, educational content, and member discounts. It’s helping build something bigger, and much needed.
Every membership allows us to continue advocating for patients, supporting families, expanding our practitioner network, developing new programs, and proving that healthcare can still be compassionate, ethical, and centered around the patient instead of a broken system.
If you’ve been watching from the sidelines and you’ve been thinking, “I really should join,” I’d love to invite you to do that today.
For less than a dollar a day, you’re helping build the future of nurse-led, patient-centered healthcare. And for those of you who are already members...
Thank you.
Seriously.
You are the reason I can crawl into this little work nest after a 64-hour weekend and keep on going.
❤️ Kimberly

About the Author:
Kimberly Overton, BSN, RN, BC-FMP, is a Registered Nurse, entrepreneur, and fierce advocate for medical freedom and informed consent. With a background in critical care and acute patient management, she bore witness to the systemic failures of a healthcare system corrupted by profit-driven protocols—protocols that led to medical murders disguised as care.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kimberly made the bold decision to resign from traditional bedside nursing, standing in protest against coercive mandates, the unethical use of Remdesivir, and the rollout of dangerous, ineffective COVID “vaccines.” This defining moment propelled her to establish Nurse Freedom Network, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering nurses, safeguarding patient rights, and exposing corruption within the healthcare system.
Today, she continues her mission at the bedside as a Hospice nurse, where she brings dignity, presence, and compassion to the end-of-life journey—honoring the sacred transition and advocating for comfort, truth, and informed decisions. Her experience in hospice care further reinforces the importance of understanding every medical intervention and upholding the nurse’s role as a protector of patient safety and peace.
Expanding on her mission, she launched Remnant Healthcare, providing holistic, patient-centered alternatives that honor medical autonomy, informed consent, and compassionate care. As host of The Nurses’ Report on America Out Loud Talk Radio, Kimberly amplifies the movement for healthcare reform, medical freedom, and the unwavering defense of human dignity.
Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, and now residing in Hendersonville, Tennessee, her mission is to disrupt the broken system, hold the profiteers accountable, and reclaim healthcare on a foundation of truth, ethics, and respect for human life—restoring humanity to the healing profession.

A nurse I know refused the Covid jab and quit before she was fired so she wouldn''t be stigmatized with being fired. She is suing her employer of 2+ decades. The case has been dragging on for 5 years; the court system is obviously slow-walking it to oblivion. Six years later, a full accounting of the Covid crimes - with extensive media coverage (instead of stonewalling) and government/health officials mea culpas - has yet to happen, but the terrible effects on the lives of millions of Americans are still being felt (and denied/ignored)!
