The Truth About Gender-Affirming Care: A Crisis of Conscience and a Mutilation of Minors
In recent years, the term “gender-affirming care” has been marketed as a compassionate, necessary form of healthcare for children struggling with gender dysphoria. But behind the polished language and politically correct soundbites lies a disturbing and irreversible truth: this isn’t care. It’s experimentation. It’s sterilization. It’s mutilation.
And it’s happening to children.
The Language of Deception
Let’s call it what it is. The phrase “gender-affirming care” is a sanitized euphemism used to mask what would, under any other circumstance, be recognized as unethical and abusive. It includes:
Puberty blockers that disrupt natural development during a critical phase of growth
Cross-sex hormones that can lead to infertility, cardiac risks, and lifelong medicalization
“Top surgeries”—a clinical term for healthy breast removal in teenage girls
“Bottom surgeries”—the construction of faux genitalia through invasive and irreversible procedures, often leaving the individual with lifelong pain, dysfunction, and regret
This is not affirming care. This is the commodification of confusion. A fast-track pipeline from TikTok to the operating table. And the victims are often too young to understand what’s being done to them.
Follow the Money
As always, follow the money. The medical-industrial complex has identified a new lifelong customer base: vulnerable children. The gender industry is now a multi-billion-dollar enterprise, with pharmaceutical giants, surgeons, and gender clinics profiting off the bodies of confused minors. One mastectomy can bring in upwards of $10,000. Cross-sex hormones are a recurring prescription for life. This isn’t about healing. It’s about revenue.
And let’s not pretend the government isn’t complicit. Federal funds and insurance reimbursements increasingly favor clinics that provide these so-called “affirming” treatments—while those who promote mental health support, body acceptance, and cautious watchful waiting are often silenced, deplatformed, or labeled “dangerous.”
Where Are the Safeguards?
In any other area of medicine, we apply the principle of “first, do no harm.” We obtain informed consent, assess long-term risks, and uphold the integrity of the provider-patient relationship.
But in the world of gender ideology, these standards are abandoned. In many cases:
Mental health screenings are rushed or bypassed altogether
Parental consent is ignored or actively undermined
Dissenting voices, including detransitioners, are silenced or erased
This isn’t science. It’s a cult masquerading as medicine.
The Growing Army of Detransitioners
Perhaps the most heartbreaking element of this entire crisis is the growing number of young adults who were fast-tracked into gender transition—only to realize too late that they were sold a lie. Many of them now speak out, sharing stories of trauma, regret, infertility, and irreversible damage.
These brave voices are often banned from social media, ignored by mainstream outlets, and even attacked by the very professionals who once promised them healing. Why? Because their existence threatens the narrative.
Protecting the Innocent
Children deserve love, compassion, and space to grow—not irreversible surgeries and hormone regimens that will leave them physically and emotionally scarred for life.
They deserve mental health care rooted in reality, not ideology.
They deserve providers who are courageous enough to say no to the mob, no to corporate pressure, and no to unproven interventions that rob children of their future fertility, function, and wholeness.

If you’re a nurse, a physician, a parent, or simply a human being who sees what’s happening and knows deep down that it’s wrong—say something.
This is not a political issue. This is a moral one.
This is not healthcare. This is harm.
It’s time to take a stand—for the children who are being led down a path of irreversible regret, and for the truth that’s being buried under layers of marketing, manipulation, and fear.
We need to be the voice of reason in a world that has lost its way.
We need to be the remnant that protects the next generation.

As a retired RN, I am appalled that this is allowed in medicine! It is disgusting and unimaginable that these children are coerced into thinking this is the only way to alleviate their gender dysphoria. It's a sad commentary on what we accept in this country. I wish more people would be aware of the facts and speak up!
